Nursery decoration advice for boy and girl sharing?
My daughter will be 2 when her brother is born and we are redecorating now because at the moment it is pink, pink and more pink.
We have decided to leave the pink carpet as we can’t afford to buy a new one but it is not really girly pink its sort of a darkish dusky pink.
We are going to paint the walls yellow and have a winnie the pooh theme. We have already got some yellow winnie the pooh curtains
What other ideas could you suggest that would make the room more interesting?
What other colour could I put with the yellow as an accent colour apart from pink as I don’t want it to look girly, but at thes same time I don’t want the whole room to just be yellow with a pink carpet
Lots of colours go with yellow so it’s quite a good choice. Why not print off some nice disney pictures or winnie the pooh pictures? Buy some inexpensive frames for them and you’ve now got some really nice nursery pictures. Some really nice bright scatter rugs would be nice, red, blue, green would look nice with the yellow and babies like bright colours more than pastel shades. You could get a really nice princess style canopy to go above your daughters bed and that way, she’ll still have her girly stamp on the room. They’re easy to make too if you can get some nice material. Just remember not to take colour and design TOO seriously. it is a kids bedroom after all, it’s supposed to be fun. You don’t need to impress anyone unless you think MTV cribs are filming in your area lol. Every lastthing doesn’t have to match aslong as your little ones enjoy it.
